Developments in the area of hot rolling of long products enable the manufacturing of products with stronger mechanical properties and higher surface quality, as well as utilization of equipment that maximize energy efficiency and minimize maintenance losses (time and spare parts). Communication of such innovations to all levels of employees by the first hand is a significant opportunity for the reinforcement of Turkey’s position in the global platform, increasing its market share and achieving progress. Developments in the area of hot rolling of flat products enable the manufacturing of products with stronger mechanical properties and higher surface quality, as well as achieving range of thinner and wider products in line with market expectations, sustainable manufacturing of special products such as API/S700MC/DP600 and utilization of equipment that maximize energy efficiency and minimize maintenance losses (time and spare parts). Cold Rolling (Flat)


Topics aimed to be addressed during the International Steel Rolling Symposium and Exhibition in the area of cold rolling, the input of which is hot rolled steel, include rolling technologies, effective pickling lines, technologies and systems used with the expectation of zero-defect surfaces referred to as C surfaces, and achievement of thickness/width and section regularity in line with the standards.

e.    New and improving approaches towards elimination of surface quality issues
f.    Improvement of product quality through controlling of product cooling by innovative cooling platform approaches
g.    Pre-packaging online control systems (ultrasonic microstructure control, etc.) 
h.    Innovative post-production heat treatment applications 
i.    Newly-developed product packaging systems (for high-quality steel) and their economic benefits
